AMSAF Continues to grow and Help the Community

Happy New Year to everyone from AMSAF and we hope your year is starting out with everything you planned for.

AMSAF is going into our 8th year as a business and our fifth year of having our annual “Riding for the Long Haul”.
What is “Riding for the Long Haul” anyway??

Riding for the Long Haul was started five years ago to try and help everyone be able to ride for a LONG time.

We wanted it to be an event where the community came together to help reduce crashes and fatalities here in Arizona. Our goal was to have vendors and Sponsors promoting their goods and also promoting safety ideas that will help us all be safer. This can be in the way of Safety gear, safety tips, seminars, Insurance, legal, healthcare, and many other opportunities.

Each year our event has grown in the number of vendors and folks attending. We will have food at this event, band, police doing drill maneuvers on their motorcycles and many vendors with goods to sell and ideas to share with you that we hope will help you become a better rider or to help you Share the Road.

One of the ways that we help the community is to give out financial motorcycle training assistance every month. We’ve heard from many of you that you can’t afford to take a motorcycle training course and we feel this education is critical to helping to reduce crashes and fatalities. That’s why we work hard to raise money from an event like Riding for the Long Haul and Grants that we receive. We’ve been able to give out over 2500 Scholarships throughout the State to help individuals age 15 ½ to over age 70. We want to continue giving out Scholarships and helping the community.

I saw a powerpoint slide the other day and it said “50% of motorcycle crashes are the fault of the Car” Guess what? 50% of motorcycle crashes are the fault of the motorcycle rider”

We all have a responsibility in this and that’s why we talk about Sharing the Road. We have to look out for each other. We don’t need alcohol, drugs, left turns or distracted drivers or riders involved. Let’s share the road and help reduce crashes and fatalities here in Arizona.

Here’s our challenge to you.

We want to help a lot of riders, passengers and 4 wheel vehicles to reduce crashes and fatalities here in Arizona.

Here’s an opportunity to spend part of the day with us and hopefully come away with being a safer driver or rider.

Let’s show the public that we need and want their help and we’re here to try and reduce crashes and fatalities here in Arizona. One motorcycle rider death is one to many. Together we can make a difference.

Our event is FREE to get into and we have a Band, Raffle items, vendors, food, and fashion show, police drill maneuvers and much more. The State will be there, Healthcare, Insurance, Police, Legal and much different businesses to help you.

We have a couple of great raffles along with some bucket raffles. Our Grand Prize raffle is a couple of nights in Laughlin, concert for two and $1000.00 cash.

You can purchase tickets online at our web site, www.amsaf.org or purchase them the day of the event.
